KMK Media Group develops file sharing component of website

KMK Media Group, a Rockford-based marketing communications firm, completed the development of a file sharing component for a website for Civil Engineering Services located in Belvidere.

The web application allows Civil Engineering Services to set up custom accounts for its clients so both the company and its clients can confidentially share files with one another and receive email notifications when a new file has been added.

KMK Media Group also was hired by Aurora Educational Technology in Ogle County to collaborate on the construction of its new website which will support online training, expanded products and assistance to customers; KMK Media Group, launched a website for Soil Essentials, a Rockford-based firm specializing in environmental drilling, geotechnical drilling and environmental field services for clients throughout the Midwest.

 

SwedishAmerican Foundation calls Swedes’ Night a success

The SwedishAmerican Foundation’s Swedes’ Night (formerly known as Cruise) was a huge success with more than 450 supporters in attendance. The event, held on March 3 at Giovanni’s, raised more than $170,000.

The theme of Swedes’ Night was “100 Years of Philanthropy,” celebrating all our donors have made possible over the past 100 years at SwedishAmerican Hospital. All proceeds from Swedes’ Night will support SwedishAmerican’s modernization projects, specifically the soon-to-be constructed Riverwest Clinic.

 

Boone County Crime Stoppers hires firm for website design

Boone County Crime Stoppers recently hired PS Designs & More to design and develop a mobile-friendy website. The sites main focus is to make reporting crime tips easy and anonymous. The site features two-way anonymous crime reporting conversations between tipsters and Crime Stoppers officers.

 

V2 Marketing facilities four-day workshop, banquet for AATH

V2 Marketing Communications recently organized, promoted and facilitated a four-day workshop and banquet event for the Association of Applied and Therapeutic Humor (AATH) in Phoenix, AZ. AATH’s 30th Annual international gathering featured keynote speakers, workshops, Humor Academy and hosted over 100 participants. The company also recently completed a corporate website for Kanneberg Custom Kitchens promoting its design consulting services; Benassi Family Dentistry recently hired V2 for rebranding of the local dentistry practice; V2 Marketing recently completed a corporate website and brochure for Youth Services Network (YSN) supporting its branding and fundraising efforts; V2 Marketing Communications recently completed a new logo for Mutual Reinsurance Company. The new logo will represent the company on permanent signage and marketing materials for Mutual Reinsurance Company; Field Fastener has retained V2 Marketing Communications to provide inbound marketing services.

Badger Property Investments to build 60K square foot building

Coldwell Banker Commercial McGuire Mears & Associates is pleased to announce that Badger Property Investments plans to build a 60,000 square foot industrial building near the intersection of E. County Road M and State Highway 59 in Milton’s Crossroads Business Park to meet the growing needs of Janesville, company SSI Technologies, Inc.

Construction will begin on the new building next month. Harris Ace Hardware named ‘Platinum Performance’ store

Harris Ace Hardware recently was named a “Platinum Performance Retailing” store by the Ace Hardware Corporation for its outstanding
performance.

Out of more than 4,900 Ace Hardware stores, only a few hundred receive this designation.

To achieve the Platinum Performance Retailing designation, the team at Harris Ace successfully completed a number of performance drivers that provide a better overall shopping experience for customers. For more than 75 years, Harris Ace Hardware, a family-owned business, has been serving its neighbors with helpful service and quality products. It operates five hardware stores; two in Janesville; two in Beloit; and one in Monroe.

SwedishAmerican is pleased to announce its redesigned website recently received a Platinum AVA Digital Award for creativity in web design. The hospital’s web design partner, Rockford-based Trekk, was the creative and technical group behind the redesign and helped launch the new site. This is Trekk’s second AVA Digital Award.

Kerry and Dude Frank receive 15th ‘Seize the Day’ Award

Kerry and Dude Frank, whose vision for digitizing bulky airline pilot manuals took them from their home’s basement in northern Illinois to a successful business in Beloit, received the 15th annual Ken Hendricks “Seize the Day” award on June 5 at the 2018 Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference. The award celebrates entrepreneurial leaders who have been crucial to Wisconsin’s economic growth.

It is named in honor of the late Ken Hendricks, a Beloit businessman and 2006 “Seize the Day” award winner who died in an accident in late 2007. The Franks lead Comply365, which revolutionized the flight decks around the world with its software products and now counts about a dozen Fortune 500 companies among its clients. The company’s secure, mobile enterprise platform is used well beyond the airline industry to increase productivity, mobility and compliance.

The Rosecrance substance abuse program has earned an Aetna Institute of Quality designation for Behavioral Health. Aetna makes information about the quality and cost of health care services available to its members to help them make informed decisions about their health care needs. Rockford Mutual Insurance Company recently won the ValChoice award as “A Best Value” for car insurance in the states of Illinois and Wisconsin for 2017-2018.
Greater Freeport Partnership begins operations

The Greater Freeport Partnership, which is designed to promote economic development, tourism, Main Street and business services to grow the Freeport and Stephenson County region has begun operations. The Greater Freeport Partnership formed when the boards of directors of Northwest Illinois Development Alliance (NIDA), Freeport/Stephenson County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Freeport Downtown Development Foundation (FDDF) and Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce voted to create a new organization. Collaborate Freeport, formed in 2015, and the All In Freeport brand are part of the new organization. The new organization recently revealed a new logo, brand and presence through social media and website at www.greaterfreeport.com.
