Matthew Hunsaker, MD, director of the Rural Medical Education Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, has been named dean for the Medical College of Wisconsin (WCW)- Green Bay. Hunsaker is a graduate of Milligan College and received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. He completed a residence in family practice at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, Ill.
ABC Supply Company has added three positions to its senior leadership team and named four executives — Kathy Hendricks, Tony Vaden, Mike Jost and Chris Slusar — to new roles in the company’s information technology, operations and accounting functions.
Kathy Hendricks, who had overseen ABC Supply’s information technology function for 28 years, most recently as vice president and chief information officer, has been named to the newly created position of executive director of customer connectivity. In her new role, she will lead ABC Supply’s strategic initiative to design, develop and implement the new information technology services and solutions that will connect ABC Supply to its customers.
Tony Vaden has been named chief information officer, replacing Hendricks. Vaden will oversee all aspects of the information technology systems that support the company’s computing needs. He joins ABC Supply from American Tire Distributors (ATD) where he had been chief information officer. Previously, Vaden had held senior technology positions at Solectron (now a subsidiary of Flextronics), Dell Inc., and AMP (now TE Connectivity, Ltd.).
Mike Jost has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of operations. In his new role, Jost will be responsible for the company’s operations, safety, education, real estate, marketing and merchandising functions. Since joining ABC Supply in 2002, he has served as manager of the Springfield, Va. branch and held several positions on the company’s Northeast Region team. Most recently, Jost had been the Mid-Atlantic District manager.
Chris Slusar has been named corporate controller, a newly created position. He will lead ABC Supply’s accounting function. Slusar joins ABC Supply after more than 18 years with the Johnson family of companies in Racine, Wis. During his tenure there, he held a variety of increasingly responsible positions in finance and accounting. Most recently, he served as vice president and corporate controller for Diversey, Inc., formerly one of the Johnson companies. Slusar is a certified public accountant and began his career in public accounting.
First National Bank and Trust Company has promoted Sean Gjestson to Credit Analyst.
His responsibilities will include analyzing current and potential customers to determine credit worthiness and overall financial condition. Gjestson joined First National Bank and Trust in 2008 as a loan operations representative. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is currently enrolled in their MBA program. He volunteers with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Rock County.
Also, Tari Book has been promoted to Loan Operations Officer. She began her career with the bank in 1995 in the Loan Department and has been the Loan Operations Supervisor since 2010. In her role, Book will monitor compliance of loan documentation for consumer, mortgage and commercial loans and manages the daily functions of the loan operations department. She is involved with the local Lions Club and volunteers with Leaf River Days.
Dave Holterman has been named Vice President Business Banker for Blackhawk Bank’s Rock County market.
Holterman has spent his 16 year banking career in the Janesville area working with both consumer and small business clients as a multi-branch banking center manager. Now, he will specialize in loan and credit services, cash management and deposit services for the region’s business clients.
Holterman is a board member for the Milton Area Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Economic Development Commission for the City of Milton and a member of the Janesville Morning Rotary. He is a multi-year recipient of the Volunteer of the Year designation awarded by the Milton Area Chamber of Commerce. He’s a board member for the Wisconsin Banker’s Association, and has a multi-year volunteer record with the United Way of North Rock County.
Holterman graduated Cum Laude of the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He and his wife and three children are residents of Milton.
Victor Rodriguez has been named Packaging Manager at Axium Foods in South Beloit.
Rodriguez came to Axium in mid-July from Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods/Cadbury), where he led Capital Projects as a Project Engineer.
Before transferring to Mondelez, Rodriguez was maintenance coach at Kraft Foods’ Claussen Pickle facility in Woodstock, Ill. Prior to that, he held positions as packaging resource and maintenance supervisor at Frito-Lay, where he continued to build on his maintenance knowledge. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Northern Illinois University, where he’s currently studying for his MBA degree.
ROSCOE — Ryan Messinger was recently appointed the new Director of NorthPointe Wellness in Roscoe.
Messinger has a degree in Health Services Management and a Masters of Science degree in Community Health Education from Western Illinois University. As director, he is responsible for the operations of NorthPointe Wellness, including the fitness center, two swimming pools, fitness staff and helping people “live life to the fittest”.
Messinger is a Certified Health Education Specialist, has an Illinois pharmacy technician license, and is a licensed EMT.
