Impact Award winners announced at Visit Lake Geneva annual dinner

Visit Lake Geneva held their annual dinner Oct. 17  at Grand Geneva Resort and Spa. During the evening,  the 2019 Impact Award winners were announced.

The Hospitality Award went to Shannon McCarthy, director of events and catering at Simple Food Group. The recipient of the Community Betterment Award was Emagine Entertainment.  The Rising Star Award, given to a person, organization or business who, in five years or less in their respective field, has made a substantial impact in their chosen profession, was presented to Bridget Leech, executive director of the Lake Geneva Business Improvement District.  The Stu Herzog Outstanding Citizen Award was a tie between  Peg Williams and Tom Walton, presented to an individual who represents the region at its best and consistently makes a positive difference.

In presenting the awards, Visit Lake Geneva CEO and president Stephanie Klett said all five have set a high bar for all in the community to live up to.

“These are the coveted awards, the ones that begin with a nomination from peers, the ones that warm the hearts of residents and visitors alike, knowing just how much the work of the award winners means to the quality of life here,” said Klett.
